Bio
Cappo Kelley is a San Diego, California reggae act focused on Lovers Rock Reggae, with a smooth, soulful set built around songs associated with Gregory Isaacs, Sugar Minott, Dennis Brown, Beres Hammond, John Holt, Bob Marley, and more.
Alongside those covers, the band works in mashups that pair classic reggae riddims with modern favorites, plus original material that stays within the same style. The result is a reggae set that can lean familiar while still offering some range in the song selection.
Cappo Kelley has performed in a wide mix of settings, including clubs, festivals, celebrity golf tournaments, elementary school PTA events, art gallery openings, fairs, and private parties. The band is presented as family-friendly and adaptable across different event types.
Lineups are available from a 3-piece format with guitar/vocals, bass, and drums for smaller rooms and intimate events, up to a 6-piece band with saxophone, keys, and live dub mixing for a fuller reggae setup.
For buyers looking for Lovers Rock Reggae from a San Diego-based act, Cappo Kelley offers a format that can scale to the room while keeping the focus on classic reggae songs, reggae-based mashups, and originals in the genre.
