D.R.E. – The David Ruffin Experience is a dynamic live tribute celebrating the legendary voice, style, soul, and stage presence of David Ruffin. Performing professionally since 2009, Mervin A. Solone brings audiences an authentic journey through Ruffin’s unforgettable years with The Temptations and his successful solo career.
The show features Motown classics including “My Girl,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “Beauty Is Only Skin Deep,” “I Wish It Would Rain,” “I’m Losing You,” “Walk Away from Love,” and “Statue of a Fool.”
Mervin’s performance career has included appearances at venues and events across the country. Highlights include performing “My Girl” with Valerie Simpson at Ashford & Simpson’s Sugar Bar in New York City and being invited onstage with Martha Reeves & The Vandellas.
D.R.E. – The David Ruffin Experience combines powerful vocals, classic Motown showmanship, audience engagement, and respect for the music and legacy of David Ruffin. The show is available for theaters, festivals, casinos, cruise entertainment, corporate events, private events, and special engagements.
