Sly and the Family Stone tribute
Everyday People
A tribute to Sly Stone and Sly and The Family Stone
Video
Bio
Everyday People is a tribute band focused on the music of Sly Stone, also known as Sylvester Stewart, and Sly and the Family Stone.
The show centers on a nostalgic 70s feel and the sound of a band widely recognized for music that was innovatively unique and ahead of its time. The influence of Sly’s music can still be heard in later artists including Miles Davis, Prince, George Clinton, Earth Wind and Fire, Rick James, and Bruno Mars.
Everyday People aims to bring that era back in both sight and sound, giving audiences a chance to revisit the music of Sly and the Family Stone. The set includes songs such as Stand, Take You Higher, Everybody Is a Star, Family Affair, and Dance to the Music, along with more from the catalog.
