Judas Priest tribute
California’s Judas Priest tribute, bringing the Metal Gods’ look, sound, and feel to the stage
Just Like Priest is a Judas Priest tribute band based in California and recognized as All Access Magazine Music Awards' Best Tribute Band for 2007. For several years, the band has performed at venues including the Hollywood Palladium, House of Blues, and the Key Club, along with bike runs and benefits such as Toys 4 Tots.
The group began as EMPYRE: Tribute to QUEENSRYCHE before shifting focus to Judas Priest. After their first show under the new concept, a fan told them, I don’t know what you’re gonna call yourselves, but man you sound just like Priest. The name stuck, and the band has continued building its Judas Priest tribute from there.
Their set is built around the look, feel, and sound associated with Judas Priest, from the dual guitar parts of KK Downing and Glen Tipton to the high vocals of Rob Halford and the rhythm section of Ian Hill and Scott Travis. The band is exclusively sponsored and outfitted by Al Bane for Leather in authentic Judas Priest garments tied to the band’s classic image.
Just Like Priest has played to standing-room-only crowds from San Diego, California, to Las Vegas, Nevada, to Bellingham, Washington. For buyers looking for a Judas Priest tribute with an established identity, recognizable visual presentation, and a clear focus on the band’s classic metal style, Just Like Priest is easy to place on rock bills, bike events, and benefit shows.
