La Chilanga Banda is a tribute to Café Tacvba, taking its name from a Café Tacvba song and performing the band’s avalanche of hits with a heavy ska sound. The result is a playful, upbeat dance feel built for skanking, grooving, and singing along. Café Tacvba’s blend of folk, hip hop, punk, ska, and Norteño music helped define Mexican alternative rock; La Chilanga Banda brings a dose of that live show experience to local fans.
