Neon Circus is a Brooks & Dunn tribute band based in Phoenix, Arizona. The act is built around the contrast that defined Brooks & Dunn: Ronnie Dunn’s quietly intense, soulful vocal presence alongside Kix Brooks’ high-energy showman role, with a set rooted in rowdy, rocked-up honkytonk songs, punchy danceable beats, and smoother pop-tinged ballads.
Brooks & Dunn ended their 20-year run on the road in 2010, leaving a clear gap for fans of the duo’s live show. Neon Circus was formed in 2011 from the idea of creating a tribute act that could match that touring road-show feel and sound. The band takes its name from Brooks & Dunn’s 2002 Neon Circus and Wild West Show and continues that legacy with RK Ford in the Ronnie Dunn role and Tim Johnson in the Kix Brooks role.
Neon Circus is currently touring the U.S. as a headlining act, appearing in showrooms, theaters, festivals, fairs, large clubs, and private functions. The show recreates Brooks & Dunn’s live presentation in close detail and includes well-known hits such as My Maria, Neon Moon, and Boot Scootin’ Boogie.

“Neon Circus was my first country music tribute band at the casino. They did most of the songs I remembered from back in the day so that was great. The Ronnie Dunn character sounded just like him, fantastic voice! The energy seemed a little lacking until the last half hour of the show, but I was told by a friend who has seen the real deal many times that they are low key so maybe that level of performance was spot on.”
