Bio

Pirate Flag is a six-piece Kenny Chesney tribute band based in Clearwater, Florida. The group focuses on Chesney’s catalog and performs the music from the original recordings, with a live show built around the songs that made him one of country music’s biggest touring artists.

Chesney’s run includes more than thirty Top Ten singles, with twenty-two reaching number one. He has released fourteen certified gold or higher albums, sold more than thirty million albums worldwide, and built a large fan following known as No Shoes Nation.

His touring and award history gives clear context for the material Pirate Flag brings to the stage. Chesney regularly sold out stadiums, and his 2007 Flip-Flop Summer Tour was the highest-grossing country tour of the year. He has earned six Academy of Country Music awards, including four straight Entertainer of the Year awards from 2005 to 2008, along with six Country Music Association awards. His recognition also includes honors from the American Music Awards, Country Music Television, Billboard Music Awards, and People’s Choice Awards.

Pirate Flag’s show is designed to recreate the feel of a Kenny Chesney concert, drawing from the original recordings and the hit-driven set people expect from a Chesney tribute. For buyers, the format is straightforward: a dedicated tribute centered on familiar songs, a six-musician lineup, and a set built for crowds that know the Kenny Chesney catalog.
