Bio
The Heart Of Rock & Roll is a Southern California-based tribute to Huey Lewis & The News. 2019 marked the act’s 6th year, with a show centered on the band’s 80s MTV era and the songs most audiences know right away.
Led by a front man noted for an uncanny likeness, along with a sound and style that has fooled more than a few fans, the set is built as a straight-ahead concert tribute rather than a loose tribute nod. The feel stays focused on bringing back the period when Huey Lewis & The News were on the charts and all over music video.
The repertoire is driven by major hits including I Want a New Drug, Heart & Soul, Hip To Be Square, Workin’ For A Livin’, The Heart of Rock & Roll, and The Power Of Love from Back To The Future. The original band’s run of 19 Top 40 hits gives buyers a clear frame for the kind of recognizable material this act is built around.
Current profile copy describes The Heart Of Rock & Roll as award winning and positions the band as a highly accurate Huey Lewis & The News tribute with a colorful, exciting concert presentation. For buyers looking for a tribute focused on familiar 80s material and a strong visual and musical resemblance to the original era, the concept is easy to place and quick to understand.
