Bio
The Rhythm Shakers play late-’50s rock and roll with a distinctive modern edge. Front woman Marlene Perez delivers ripping wails and howling vocals, more reminiscent of Tina Turner and Amy Winehouse than the echo-dripped hiccups of 1950s rock and roll. The band has traveled the world, appearing at Sjock Festival in Belgium, High Rockabilly in Spain, The Rockabilly Rave in the UK, and Viva Las Vegas. They have worked with Sam Sparro, Moneybrother, and Nick Waterhouse, and released the albums Flipsville, Voodoo, and Panic.
