Monsters of Rock covers arena rock from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, with songs associated with AC/DC, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, KISS, Van Halen, Cheap Trick, and more. The band’s members also bring credits from tribute, cover, and original acts.

Monsters of Rock is a cover band built around arena rock from the 1970s, 80s, and 90s. The set draws from the biggest songs associated with bands such as AC/DC, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, KISS, Van Halen, and Cheap Trick.

The lineup features experienced musicians with backgrounds in tribute, cover, and original bands. David Mac Donald handles vocals and has also been involved in a project with Peter Criss of KISS. Neal Shelton plays lead guitar and has performed with Black Triangle, Painkiller, Judas Priest Tribute, and currently plays in PYROMANIA, Def Leppard Tribute, as well as AEROMYTH, Aerosmith Tribute.

On bass, Jack Roemer, also known as the Bass Slut, has played in top 40 and cover bands including Team Cocktail and the Don't Ask Band. Drummer Tommy Russo has played with the national act Black N Blue and has also performed for years in original and cover bands in the Los Angeles and Orange County area, including The Cover Brothers, and currently plays in the Don't Ask Band.

All members of Monsters of Rock also perform in the Don't Ask Band. Together they have played many Southern California shows, including the last El Toro Air show. They have also played in Nevada at motorcycle runs including the Runamucca Motorcycle Rally in Winnemucca and the Good Street Vibrations event in Reno, and more recently played for 97.1 KCAL FM at Rocktane One.
