Los Angeles based Pollywog Crew, are a live tribute act to the Beastie Boys. The group is dedicated to celebrating the iconic music and energy of one of hip-hop’s most influential groups. The crew first came together in 2012, shortly after the passing of Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch (MCA), as a way to honor his legacy and keep the spirit of the band alive.

Already established in the local rap community—fronting their own groups and deejaying for legendary artists such as KRS-One and Raekwon the Chef of Wu-Tang—the members of Pollywog Crew harness the true spirit of hip-hop. They perform without gimmicks or the early frat-boy image the Beastie Boys began with, instead channeling a real and honest rap persona they have cultivated individually over years in the culture.
