About Us
Roll On - The Tribute To Alabama is a Pacific Northwest tribute act built around the look and sound of an Alabama concert from the 1980s and 1990s, with a set focused mostly on the band’s #1 hits from those years.
Roll On - The Tribute To Alabama recreates the look and sound of an Alabama concert from the 1980s and 1990s. The band is made up of veteran professional musicians from the Pacific Northwest.
Lead singer Brian Pelky first saw Alabama live in 1982 at age 16. He has said the experience changed him, and he learned guitar by listening to their albums. In 2020, Pelky formed Roll On with fellow bandmate and bassist Jerry Hatcher. After adding singer, lead guitarist, and fiddler Doug Reeder, the group had the lineup it needed to move forward.
The band spent months in intensive vocal rehearsals, working closely on the details and nuances of the vocal parts. That preparation shapes a show built to reflect Alabama’s original sound as closely as possible.
The set centers mostly on Alabama’s #1 hits from the 1980s and 90s, including Tennessee River, Mountain Music, Love In The First Degree, Old Flame, Closer You Get, Lady Down On Love, Can’t Keep a Good Man Down, If Yer Gonna Play In Texas, and Roll On, along with more familiar material from the catalog.
For buyers looking for a clear Alabama-focused tribute, Roll On offers a repertoire-driven show with a defined era, recognizable songs, and a lineup built specifically around that material.
