So Madonna is a Los Angeles-based tribute act centered on 1980s Madonna, with a set focused on the Material Girl years from 1983 to 1990. The show pairs familiar songs with iconic wardrobe changes, choreography, and recognizable Madonna moments, covering material from Borderline and Burning Up to Like A Prayer and Vogue.

Julianne Ruck leads the act as Madonna. An Orange County native, she has worked across live performance, themed entertainment, recording, and tribute touring. She currently performs as Queen Isabella at Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament.

Her voice can be heard in several rides and attractions at Knott’s Berry Farm, including the Log Ride, as well as promotional materials for Halloween Haunt and Medieval Times. She has recorded backing vocal tracks for Elvira Mistress of the Dark and toured internationally with The ABBA Show tribute band.

Ruck also plays Miss Violet in Ghost Town Alive, the immersive old west experience, and performs in the saloon and old time melodrama at Knott’s Birdcage Theater. She studied sound design and vocal performance at Chapman University and is trained in improv along with several dance and vocal styles.
