The Rhythm Shakers are a late 50s rock and roll band with a distinctive modern edge. Front woman Marlene Perez delivers ripping wails and howling vocals more reminiscent of Tina Turner and Amy Winehouse than the echo-dripped hiccups of the 1950s genre they inhabit. The band has traveled the world, playing festivals such as Sjock Festival in Belgium, High Rockabilly in Spain, The Rockabilly Rave in the UK, and Viva Las Vegas. They have worked with pop artists such as Sam Sparro, Moneybrother, and Nick Waterhouse while releasing genre-defining albums including Flipsville, Voodoo, and Panic.
