The Stranger is a Billy Joel tribute band formed in late summer 2009. The core lineup includes 6 members who all reside in the Charlotte area, bringing several decades of experience and thousands of shows between them.
The act also includes Ronnie Smith, an entertainer based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, as the Elton John in their Face-2-Face tribute. That show played to thousands in 2010 and included a performance at the House Of Blues in Myrtle Beach.
The Stranger is available for events and venues of any size, with booking availability stated as national and international.

The Stranger has been by far the most crowd pleasing band at our Rockin' & Reelin' summer entertainment series. The mixed crowd was in the party spirit right from the start. The band is very professional and pleasant to work with in every way. We will definitely have them back again next year. This band really loves what they do, and it shows in their stage presence. Thanks again for bringing your great talent to Pineville!
